About Tess Forte

I am passionate about working in various capacities to achieve human rights for all people. In the field of Development in non-profits, I truly believe building partnerships between donors and organizational leaders results in joyful giving. In this way, donors view an organization not just as a recipient of a gift, but as a philanthropic priority for themselves and their families. With 30 years of experience working in various capacities with adults with developmental disabilities, I witnessed first-hand the importance philanthropy has made in my clients' lives. Over the past several years I have been able to pivot into a different role to raise funds for the Washington Park Arboretum. Working at the Arboretum Foundation as Events Manager has helped me renew my appreciation for this gem of Washington State and gain new insights into philanthropy. I am proud to be a part of this organization and its partners. In striving for a work/life balance, I make time for activities outside of work, including being a member of the band Moxie. Art, music and cultural experiences are a big part of my life. My family, circle of friends and the greater community truly inform and enrich who I am.
