About Tess Scott

My name is Tess Scott and I am a 2020 master's degree graduate in agricultural communications from Oklahoma State University. I am originally from McMinnville, Oregon, after graduating with my bachelor of science degree in agricultural sciences from Oregon State University I decided to move halfway across the country to Stillwater, Oklahoma to continue my education. I grew up on my family’s grass seed and cattle farm outside of McMinnville. My sisters and I raised and showed market lambs in 4-H, FFA and were involved with other leadership positions. In addition to those activities, since I can remember I've been on the back of a horse. When I was old enough I started showing in open horse shows around the states of Oregon and Washington. In high school I was part of the equestrian team where I competed in many events and was part of the state winning drill team in 2012. While in college I served on the St. Paul Rodeo Royal Court for two years, Princess in 2016 and Queen in 2018. During high school and college I worked for Wilco Farm Stores, a farmer-owned co-op for almost 5 years. I found my love for communications and agriculture through working with farmers and decided to pursue a master of science degree in agricultural communications.
