About Tetsuya Sone

I joined Talkwalker on Nov. 2021, while looking for a new chapter to integrate my past experience from a different perspective from the vast agency background that I had. At Talkwalker, I will be utilizing my strategic planning and other knowledge to help the clients in finding solutions to their needs and problems through the power of social listening and digital data analytics.[My backgrounds] After leaving my university studies, I began my working career as a ski instructor, then moved on into the communications industry in 1997, joining ADK and becoming a digital leader. From there, I moved on to work across numerous accounts as the lead integrated communications strategist, including VISA, Sharp, Sega, CAPCOM, NTT Docomo, Shiseido and Otsuka Pharmaceuticals. After leaving ADK for a new challenge in 2014, I joined global digital agency, Wunderman Japan. Here I utilized my digital and planning experience to lead the planning team and provide strategic solutions in-line with the latest digital marketing trends for global clients such as Microsoft and Pfizer, then joined Weber Shandwick Japan in 2017 in pursuit of a new angle of knowledge and experience in the PR sector. I joined Talkwalker in Nov. 2021 to start a new chapter in my career to integrate my past experience from a different perspective.[My Character] I am a team player and casts antenna across various trends to always keep up to date on latest topics and technologies involved in integrated communications and marketing. Also, Because of my childhood experience, I am able to not only communicate in both English and Japanese, but also understand the cultural and habitual differences between western culture and Japan, to help in accurate understanding and adaptation of global needs to Japanese needs and visa versa.
