About Tevyn Payne
I am a returning student pursuing a Software Engineering Degree at Western Governors University (WGU). This, on top of my minor in Object Oriented Programming in C++ from Florida State University (FSU) will help me pivot from the education field, to the technology field. My experience while being a teacher in Japan for 3 years helped me to consolidate my life goals and think more in depth about what I like to do and what I want to do. I have always been fascinated in Japanese culture and technology, and living in Japan, I was able to experience both of those things in different manners. I am happy to be pivoting at this stage in life and I am excited to jump back into the software development side of things, now learning Python, Git, SQL and Java, while simultaneously obtaining the AWL, Project+ and ITIL certifications.
