Background

About Tezwin Smit

I bring over five years of experience in the legal field, with a solid foundation in litigation, legal compliance, and contract negotiation. My legal journey began while studying toward my LLB at North-West University during the COVID-19 pandemic, working as a litigation assistant in a busy law firm. I later completed two years of articles and practical legal training at the same firm, gaining hands-on experience in both civil and criminal litigation. Currently, I serve as a Legal Manager at a leading ISP, where I work closely with senior management and branch teams. My role focuses on legal support in infrastructure development, drafting and negotiating contracts for fibre rollouts and mast installation, while also advising on various internal legal and compliance matters. I hold both a BCom Law and an LLB degree, have completed my vocational training, and have passed all four admission exams. I am in the final stages of my journey to be admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. I'm eager to keep learning, expand into new areas within legal and compliance, and take on challenging opportunities where I can contribute meaningfully.
