About Thacker Reeves

Throughout my career as a Merchandising Specialist, Inside Sales Representative, and former professional cyclist, I've been fortunate to collaborate with extraordinary individuals. My natural inclination towards strategic leadership and problem-solving has fueled my passion for enhancing operational efficiency. After retiring from cycling, my professional career began as a Consultant for Arapahoe Resources Cycling Team, where I identified and nurtured emerging talent and grew sponsorship visibility domestically and internationally. After a brief stent specializing in retirement planning and asset retention as a licensed Financial Advisor with Fidelity, I led sales and service operations for Cadence Cyclery, the leading bicycle retail chain in North Texas, representing prestigious global brands like Pivot, Giant and Pinarello. At Cadence,I recruited and trained teams, forecasted sales, negotiated with vendors and provided full-scale fiduciary oversight including cash handling procedures and accounts payable. In 2019, I transitioned careers and led Inside Sales with Core and Main, starting in the Fusible Branch, where I significantly increased revenue and margin through strategic sales and supply chain management. I successfully led through the covid-19 pandemic, took over as ad hoc inventory manager, oversaw logistics and repair of a rental fleet of fusion machines, led all sales efforts, and managed supply chain within the warehouse. The strategy I developed in 2020 and executed in 2021 elevated the rental machine fleet utilization by over 11%, more than doubling the “Best in Class” target. Meanwhile, I drove a $13M increase in sales revenue for my distribution center, achieving $23M in 2021 revenue. My success at the Fusible Branch led to becoming a Merchandising Specialist with Core and Main in Roanoke, Texas, where I am a lead contributor to the Water and Wastewater Supply maintenance, repair and operations initiative. My time at Core and Main led to a desire for more professional development and last year I received an MBA from Sam Houston State University with a 4.0 GPA. I currently spearhead initiatives at Core and Main that grow product portfolios, enhance vendor relations, and optimize inventory management.
