I am passionate about IT. I discovered Python about 5 years ago while working as an insurance broker. Before this encounter I believed myself competent, but discovering what runs beneath an easily readable GUI altered that belief permanently. The intriguing combination of logic, data-flow, and algorithmic precision captivated me within my first two SoloLearn lessons. Two months later I had automated a significant portion of my financial advice compliance tasks, a laborious mundane duty, and within 6 months had quit my job to start my pathway to a Bachelor’s Degree in IT. In the final two years of my education I supplemented my technical course work with a full time position running a bustling city cafe while maintaining several web and IT help business clients I had picked up while working as a sole trader. I am now working on several open-source, AI and low level OS projects while I look for positions in the industry.
