About Thaize Baroni

Hi, and thanks for visiting my profileMy name is Thaize, and I'm a pro-active and self-starter PhD researcher specializing in remote sensing of air pollution. I also have a BA in Meteorology and an MSc in Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security. I have a mix of industrial and academic experience that made me understand first-hand the damage fossil fuels and air pollution are doing to the environment and how they contribute to climate change. I also know how threatening climate change can be for food security worldwide. I want to raise awareness around the world that nature-based solutions are essential for reversing climate change and might be a key to regulating the Earth system's stability and resilience. I have an authentic passion for the environment, and I always ensure that my work and actions are fully compliant with sustainability and environmental preservation. I have researched sustainable agricultural practices and policies to address the challenges that climate change presents to food security worldwide. I have also investigated low-emissions and climate-smart agriculture strategies to meet food and bio-resource demands. I possess an in-depth knowledge of a broad range of environmental issues essential to preparing high-quality environmental and climate impact reports that ensure compliance with mitigation measures.thaize.baroni@gmail.com | t.baroni1@nuigalway.ieSpecialities: Climate Change and Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Sustainability, Food Security, Air Pollution, Meteorology, Agriculture, Broadcasting Meteorology
