About Thalia Valle

Hello there! I am Thalia, a senior student in the Florida Gulf Coast University Honors Program pursuing a major in Software Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. I am enthusiastic about learning and problem-solving, which are some of the things I enjoy the most about my career, apart from the innovation potential. So far, I have experience with some programming languages, primarily C++, JavaScript, and Python. My academic journey includes roles as a Teaching Assistant for an environmental Data Science course and a Learning Assistant for the Data Structures and Algorithms class at Whitaker College of Engineering. On campus, I’m actively involved in the Software Engineering Club and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. I served as vice president of both clubs for two semesters and currently act as a student advisor for the Software Engineering Club. I am also a member of the Academic Honor Society Phi Kappa Phi and the SWFL Coders Club in Fort Myers City. Outside of the professional umbrella, I enjoy music and the arts in general. I play saxophone and piano and like to listen to all kinds of music. I also enjoy nature and spending time outdoors.
