Dr. Khalil is a food engineer with industrial, research and teaching experience in several subjects dealing with food manufacture. Currently Thamer A. Khalil is a lecturer and researcher at Mosul University. Thamer A. Khalil was the field food observer on the WFP in Iraq under UN 986 resolution of oil for food imposed on Iraq from 1997-2004. He has worked as engineering manager in food private food companies like Freezo Food Industry, Sinan Dairy Factory and Baghdad Dairy Factory. Thamer Khalil was granted a BSc degree from food and technology department at Baghdad University, and because he was the first in his class he was chosen to work as a laboratory administrator in the department of food and technology at Baghdad University. Then he was granted a governmental scholarship from Iraqi Higher Education and Scientific Researches Ministry to study the M.Ag. at Queens University of Belfast (UK).
