About Thamsanqa Moyo

I'm a seasoned technology professional but it's not just about technology for me. What excites me most is the potential of diverse people and how technology unlocks their potential! How does great technology meet the diverse needs of people? How does diverse talent make great technology? How do we elevate diverse customer experiences through technology? These are the questions that rumble in my mind daily. Mixing and matching diverse talent to solve problems for everyday people through technology is what I've done throughout my career! At Jem, I get to co-create innovative products with some of the smartest people in the tech industry and make solutions that add value for employers and their employees. My first mission here is to make sure we ship real value to customers faster! My 8 years working in WPP agencies across technology and customer experience offerings were a formative experience. I delivered tech solutions to over 30 different countries and built high performing teams, whilst keeping the customer close to everything we did. I gained first hand experience of what to do and what not to do when 10X scaling a tech team to more than 110 people in less than 18 months. I managed to stabilize a distressed agency and re-integrate into a new group. My time working across several African markets taught me that the potential for afro-centric technology solutions in our continent is immense. You will find me always looking to meet new people, listening to customers and encouraging talent to challenge technology and business norms.
