My educational background includes a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Certificate in Project Management and Bachelor of Science Honours in Technology Management along with 15 years of extensive experience in the petrochemical sector. I am registered with ECSA as Pr Tech Eng and I was recently appointed as a GMR 2.7 in terms of OHAct regulations. My experience includes conducting root cause, asset management, budgeting, statutory compliance, safety, health and environmental compliance. I provide technical support to find ways to make equipment more efficient and reliable. Developing and reviewing maintenance program that includes a list of the problems most likely to occur with each piece of equipment, along with the preventive measures that can help reduce these risks to extend the life of the machinery. I am knowledgeable with the industry codes and standards such as SANS 347, ASME ASME B31.3, API and ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001. My personal attributes include excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain a good relationship with co-workers and management, being self-motivated, hardworking, and possessing the ability to maintain a good attitude when working under pressure due to tight deadlines. They also include strong analytical and problem-solving skills. I am known for having the ability to act fast to find a solution to problems as they arise and for getting results and I would like to put my skills and experience to work for your company. My area of expertise include: • Over 15 years overall experience in a petrochemical industry majoring in maintenance, reliability, shutdown and projects. • Over 5 years of shutdown experience scope collection, scope validation, scope freeze, cost estimates, contracting strategy developments, detail planning, execution and close out. • Over 4 years of project engineering and project execution experience on petrochemical. • Certified with Engineering Council of South Africa since 2012 as a Professional Engineering Technologist. • Over 10 years of maintenance & reliability experience in both GTL and Crude Oil Refineries. • Proven ability in various facets of site management, planning, scheduling and monitoring, using Microsoft Project.
