About Thando Xaba

With close to 5 years of Teaching & Learning experience, I am honing my skills as an academic. My passion is in education. I believe in education being able to solve the social ills we face as the youth of today. So much so I am currently furthering my qualifications in a Post Graduate Qualification in Higher Education (concurrently enrolled for a Master's in Management with STADIO) in order to make myself a more effective and impactful educator. Yes, I see myself more as an academic educator than an academic lecturer. I also have completed two short courses on nutrition and sports nutrition as I strongly believe in the maxim that a healthy mind equates to a healthy body; inasmuch as a healthy body equates to a healthy mind. The two are inseparable. Emotion flows motion; as the body moves, so do the emotions that influence the mind and soul. With this belief in my heart, I have taken it upon myself to establish and build a soccer club for STADIO Centurion. Being an academic educator is driven by my vision to create a new generation of thinkers. So much so that it led me to begin a blog called Modern Bantu. The blog is primarily a composition of short stories and thought-provoking opinion pieces experienced by most African South Africans.
