About Thang Ngo

I’m a refugee, now a communications professional and non-executive director with a passion for helping make our society a fairer place. Born in Vietnam, I now live in Sydney's south west. I grew up as the family translator, negotiator and bridge between two worlds. That early experience taught me how to navigate between cultures, languages, and expectations. I’ve spent my career in communications, media and marketing helping organisations tell stories that resonate across cultures and communities. Whether I’m advising on multicultural engagement, shaping policy narratives, or mentoring emerging professionals, my approach is grounded in authenticity. I believe the most powerful messages are human, inclusive, and clear. I’ve seen how diverse voices and culturally intelligent marketing can deliver impact - and I’m committed to building spaces where those voices are heard. I also believe in keeping things real: I prefer authenticity over polish, conversations over spin. My posts often reflect on career pivots, growing up as a refugee, the power of mentorship, and why we all need to get better at telling our own stories — especially in a world full of noise. Let’s connect — I’m always up for a chat on inclusion, strategy, storytelling, or where to get a good bánh mì in Sydney.
