Captain Class A Holder with extensive experience in vessel handling and navigation currently in search of new job opportunities. Competent in crew training, coordination and maintenance of life saving and firefighting equipment. Equipped with critical thinking abilities targeted at handling complex emergency situations My career started even before graduating from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropirgos in 1992. As a student, I was working on a passenger liner and variousmega yachts. In 1992 I served as Apprentice Officer in the Springfield Shipping Company and later as Staff Captain during my military service in the Military Navy,(1995-1997). I continued as a 2nd Officer and later as Chief Officer on motor tankers. In 2001 I transferred to Cruise Ship Industry working initially for Festival Cruises and later for Celebrity Cruises, where I had the positions of Chief Officer/Deck, Chief Officer/Navigation and Chief Officer/Safety. As a Safety Officer, I am in charge of the ship's safety, the training of the crew members, the maintenance of all the safety equipment and whenever requested - additional bridge officer for safe navigation of the vessel.
