About Thanos Koutroubas

I am an R&D Software Engineer at Nokia, specializing in developing cloud-native products and services for 5G network components within the Platforms and Engineering team. My expertise lies in writing software primarily in Go and leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm to create and deploy scalable services. I take ownership of features and tasks, ensuring their progression from design to implementation, testing, and deployment. My approach is comprehensive and detail-oriented, as I strive to deliver high-quality solutions that meet and exceed expectations. I began my journey at Nokia even before completing my studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). My studies finished with a thesis focused on AI robustness and privacy, reflecting my interests in both security and AI. In addition to my professional work, I have a broad interest in technologies including cybersecurity, ethical hacking, embedded systems, operating systems, IoT, distributed systems, blockchain, AI & ML, cloud-native software, web services, scraping, and APIs. This diverse range of interests fuels my passion for continuous learning and innovation. In my own free time, I have also participated in some Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions, which have honed my skills in ethical hacking and problem-solving under pressure. I am passionate about continuous learning and growth, I am always eager to explore new technologies and methodologies. My goal is to design and build scalable and distributed software that makes a significant impact on end users.
