About Thao Lam

Thao Lam is the Founder & CEO of Impact Link Asia, a mission-driven training & advisory firm dedicated to supporting impact-focused investors and social/environmental impact entrepreneurs in navigating their impact in Vietnam and other ASIAN countries. Since its establishment in 2022, Impact Link has supported nearly a hundred emerging impact-led entrepreneurs and SMEs’ mission journeys by enhancing their organizational development capabilities. Its flagship tool, the "Mission Capacity Assessment," enables these entrepreneurs to self-evaluate their mission capacity and identify areas for improvement. Impact Link also offers thematic training programs and diverse advisory services to assist them in developing and implementing effective capacity-building action plans and solutions. Thao brings over 16 years of experience in social/environmental impact, NPO/INGO leadership, and sustainable finance. She has an strong academic background in finance and investment, while the Pgcert of Circular Economy & Sustainable Strategy at the University of Cambridge has enhanced her sustainability knowledge. She previously led the LIN Center for Community Development (2019-2022), strengthening Vietnam's community philanthropy ecosystem through capacity building and resource mobilization. In her role at the time, she managed the largest nonprofit networks in Vietnam, with over 400 organizations and a wide network of corporate and individual donors. Thao envisions a collaborative approach where impact-led businesses, entrepreneurs and nonprofits, investors work together to address complex social and environmental issues. She believes in equipping impact enablers with enhanced organizational development capacities, strong networking skills, and effective social capital coordination to drive sustainable change. As a disabled female leader, entrepreneur, and mother, Thao champions dignity and justice for diverse vulnerable groups, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to unlock their potential.
