Environmental Officer Trainee with 2 years experience in the smelting and processing industry. I have strong background in Environmental Sciences and passionate about fostering a culture of environment sustainability and stewardship. In my current role, I have gained extensive knowledge and skills in ensuring adherence to the Environmental Authorizations, Environmental Licenses and Permits, Environmental Management Systems, internal procedures and regulatory compliance. My experience includes conducting daily inspections to identify and address areas of environmental deviations and identify opportunities of improvement to enhance environmental compliance. I conduct incident investigations and reporting and adept in supporting relevant stakeholders in implementing remedial measures to mitigate environmental deviations and risks. I have a hands-on approach to monitoring compliance to the Water Use License, Atmospheric Emission License and Waste Management. I have successfully supervised waste management and vegetation teams to ensure optimal performance in environmental management. Proficient in implementing ISO 14001 standards and actively engage in SHE Audits, following up on audit recommendations, and preparing audit evidence. My expertise also extends to environmental reporting, liaising and reporting to environmental authorities and hosting environmental awareness and campaigns to foster a culture of environmental responsibility within the operation.
