I'm a talented and experienced professional writer with over a decade's experience writing for clients from all over the world. Currently, I am the Content Marketing Manager and Learning Coach for Brainscape, a smart flashcard and study app, for whom I write and project manage the creation of all content marketing assets, from articles and emails to social media posts and videos. I'm also the proud author of 'Why? Because Science', which takes readers on an epic, Tolkein-esque journey through life on planet Earth (minus the foot sores, endless battles, and evil angry eyeball at the end). The book provides entertaining and easy-to-digest answers to some of our most profound questions, such as: what causes the Northern Lights, why you feel so crap after a night of knocking back tequila shots, what is El Nino, have aliens really visited Earth, and why did Scientology send Katie Holmes running for the hills?'Why? Because Science' is really a vast smorgasbord of bite-sized science topics that, using humour, accessible language, and the occasional dirty joke, is so fun and funny to read, you won’t even realize you’re being educated. In other news, I have a Masters degree in Atmospheric Science, which has equipped me with razor-sharp research skills, and the ability to tackle a wide range of more technical subjects. I also have a Diploma in Internet Marketing, so I know how to write really awesome content for web audiences. My work experience prior to Brainscape includes writing blogs and web copy for a San Diego based web development company, which then migrated to Puerto Rico and exists today as Fusion Farms Puerto Rico. For the past several years, I have also been writing print and online articles for celebrated South African lifestyle and leisure magazines, Aspire Lifestyle and Haute Montres. I work efficiently and with a great sense of humour and perspective that has earned me a really positive reputation.
