I am a writer and researcher with a focus on representations of disability in drama. In my doctoral work, I investigate codification and counternarratives, using the lens of critical disability studies to illustrate how disabled characters in theatre identify or resist oppression and assert their own autonomy. I am passionate about teaching literature in a mode that is both inclusive and socially responsible, allowing students to bring their own lived experiences and perspectives to bear on the works we discuss together.
