I am now Oregon OSHA's Senior Policy Analyst/Legislative Coordinator which keeps me extremely busy, especially when the legislature is in session, though coordinating legislative activities is a year-round activity. On the policy side, there is always something as well; my job is not boring! I used to be a Technical Specialist within the Standards and Technical section at Oregon OSHA and out of this section, rules are drafted (I still am the lead on Oregon OSHA’s Heat Illness Prevention rules), fact sheets, and other educational materials (both for employees and employers) are produced and this section provides interpretations of rules, to internal and external individuals, and stakeholder groups. Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, including risk communication, project management, pesticide-related issues/concerns, public speaking, leadership, and problem solving
