My journey into the world of outdoor sports began unexpectedly. While working at Blacks, an outdoor sports shop, I was introduced to a host of outdoor activities by my colleagues. What started as a job to support my skiing hobby transformed into a profound love for hiking, camping, and climbing. Over time, these outdoor pursuits became an integral part of who I am, allowing me to experience breath-taking moments—from climbing in places like Romania to summiting Mont Blanc. More recently, I even challenged myself with a 56km trail event along the Dorset coastline. Within the various organisations I’ve worked for over the years, I had the opportunity to witness exceptional leadership in action. These leaders empowered their teams, creating positive work environments that inspired and motivated staff members. Inspired by their approach, I became deeply passionate about promoting a similar experience for others. I wanted to cultivate an environment where employees felt empowered, motivated, and supported, ultimately creating a positive workplace for everyone—from the staff to the customers. With a deep-rooted passion for understanding how people think, I have dedicated my career to fostering growth, empowerment, and positive work environments. As a store manager in two Ellis Brigham locations, I have thrived in developing passionate, knowledgeable, and engaged teams that deliver authentic and exceptional customer service experiences. My love for developing teams naturally led me to explore the field of human resources (HR). Over the years, I have gained valuable expertise in various HR aspects, complementing my people-centric approach. This knowledge has been instrumental in my success, contributing to the growth and development of the teams I manage. Looking forward, my aspirations revolve around extending the scope of my impact from a store level to a broader company level. I aim to utilize my skills and experience to contribute to the growth and development of organizations on a larger scale. By extending the positive work environment and service excellence I have cultivated within my teams, I strive to one day make a meaningful difference throughout the entire company.
