About Therese Kronkvist

Good ideas don’t impress me. People who try them out do. In my recent assignments it has been clear that what makes me tick is the collaboration between humans, it is when we dare to say “yes” to ideas and spurs of the moment. Since I praise that “culture eats strategy for breakfast”, my belief is that if you focus on empowering a strong team you could give them any assignment. My constant ambition is to work with something that gives me the highs (and presumably the lows), many laughs and “hallelujah-moments”. I've managed quite well with that in my career so far actually. Mentioning hallelujah moments - I am no marathon runner but I am in a (quite ambitious) gospel choir. Not only have this taught me the importance of team work, but also that you really need to put yourself in it to fully gain the benefits. And of course how to move to the rhythm of the music, however that is not a skill often utilized at work. The real highlights of my career have been the feedback from my team members, like a booklet a former team put together with handwritten messages about how valuable the time together had been. Or when co-workers and consultants with many years at service points out my leadership as one of the best they have seen, based on the authenticity and leading by example. That makes me really proud. The more hard-boiled achievements would be something like driving a large (multiple teams, 15+ mill euro budget) digital transformation program, establishing and maintaining a business process organization across a value chain and played a major role in the establishment of several digital tools connected to “creating a better everyday life” for the co-workers. To get the best out of me you need to allow space for ideas and try-outs, lead me with a human centric and value based approach (show me all of your emotions) and to slowly but firmly squeeze me out of my comfort zone. I try my best to adopt all of this in my own leadership – trusting that transparency, the sincerity in people in combination with having fun gives results. I don’t do bullshit and am highly committed to what I set out to do, both friends and colleagues would describe me as solid and trustworthy. And as a mother of three, my specialty is to get the horse to drink the water.
