About Therese Murphy

I am an engagement expert and energy policy specialist with 30 years work experience, spanning multinational corporations, the public sector and freelance consulting. As an advocate for sustainable energy, I am fully supportive of the transition to a net-zero carbon economy, and am determined to make a contribution to this ambition. I have extensive experience within the energy industry in Ireland, and in recent years have become more focused on the power sector, specifically in the area of innovative demand side flexibility. I am self-motivated and highly organised, and enjoy collaborating with people in a team environment. My career to date includes various strategic planning, policy advisory and programme management positions, where I have successfully developed governance frameworks and led a range of large-scale strategic projects from inception to completion. I have also provided engineering and management consultancy services to a range of highly influential national and international entities. My strong interpersonal skills and positive approach to relationship management have enabled me to build enduring working relationships and develop a strong energy sector network.
