About Therese Todd
I graduated from the CUNY Graduate Center through John Jay College with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. I am currently a Faculty Fellow/Assistant Professor at NYU School of Law through the Provost's Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. My research interests focus on mental health disparities in the criminal legal system, particularly pertaining to police interactions with persons with mental illness. Through research I aim to reduce criminal legal involvement for those experiencing mental health crises, and refocus responding to mental illness through the healthcare system by bolstering access to appropriate and culturally-competent mental health services.
