About Therman McDaniel

Growing up in Brooklyn, NY, investing and Wall Street felt like a world away—but once I began working there, I realized that everyone deserves access to the financial knowledge that can transform lives. My career began on Wall Street, consulting Fortune 500 companies on shareholder profiles and corporate governance. After relocating to Atlanta in I began trading for E-Trade Financial, managing both my own accounts and those of individual investors. Over the years, I held roles as a compliance officer with Principal Financial Group and as a wholesaler with Jackson National Life, where I gained a deep understanding of annuities. I spent ten years at SunTrust, ultimately becoming the derivative specialist for their Private Wealth Management division. Naturally, I gravitated toward working directly with individuals—advising them on their finances and helping them plan for the future. Outside of my professional career, I’ve always been passionate about leadership and service. I founded DOW (Dads Organized for Wesley), a group of fathers committed to increasing the presence of male role models in middle schools. I also served as President of the Booster Club during the years my children were in high school, while actively coaching and supporting the various teams they participated in. Eventually, I chose to align my professional expertise with my personal mission—to educate, empower, and guide others toward financial wellness.
