About Thierry Carron

Climbing to High Performance Computing as a Service up to AI. During 20 years first at Compaq and then HPE, I developed technical relationships with scientific software vendors, more particularly in the fields of Oil & Gas and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE). As a technical advisor and pre-sales consultant, I participates in the development of the Oil & Gas activities in Europe, Middle East Africa and Russia for HPE, while also bringing this technical knowledge to the World Wide Business Unit. Doctor of the University of Savoie in the field of Image and Signal Processing (1995), I participated, as a Research Engineer at the National Center for Scientific Research, in the development of real-time acquisition software for the project European gravitational wave detection.(VIRGO Project). Passionate about the mountains, I have the honor to be Vice-President in charge of Sports Schools, head of the Alpine Skiing Commission and ski instructor at the Club Alpin Français school of Albertville. Since February 2021, I joined the HPE Supercomputing & AI Cloud World Wild team, bringing my expertise in ISV application and performance tuning of HPC and AI Cluster.
