About Thilini Dahanayaka
I am a postdoctoral researcher with a special interest in the intersection of networking and machine learning and I am passionate about building a secure and more inclusive internet by understanding the threats posed by advances in ML to networking as well as by leveraging ML methods to develop network security solutions. My Ph.D. research was focused on building learning models for realistic side-channel attacks on end-to-end encrypted traffic while making theoretical contributions to machine learning in the area of open-set classification. Apart from my research, I work as a tutor for the University of Sydney and also supervise Honours student projects. Currently, I am looking for opportunities to advance my research career either in academia or industry.
