About Thilo Schinner

I am passionate about a sustainable future in which prosperity and quality of life are possible for all. To achieve this, however, we need to act faster, accelerate change and use the available resources and budgets in a targeted manner to achieve meaningful results. Transparency and a profound analysis of data are needed because they are the key to understanding complex interrelationships and identifying the decisive levers for overcoming global challenges. In my current role as Sustainability Manager at Siemens, I draw on my extensive experience in project management, plant automation, computer vision, artificial intelligence and data-based process optimization. I am working to make Siemens sustainable through the decarbonization of our own plants and supply chain as well as through design for circularity and robust eco-design of our products. In addition, I help to fulfill regulatory requirements such as the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, the EU Taxonomy or the upcoming Corporate Sustainable Reporting Directive (CRSD). In particular, my background as an expert in data science and lean management gives me the tools to successfully drive both technological and strategic goals. My overarching goal is to support Siemens in actively contributing to solving our global challenges through sound analysis and sustainable solutions.
