Energy Markets Analyst, Thought-Leader, Team Builder. For the past 15 years I have worked across Europe, North America and Asia providing market intelligence, commercial insight and strategic advice on the global energy sector to governments, corporates and financial institutions of all shapes & sizes. As “Head of Offshore Energy Research & Analysis” for Westwood Global Energy (WGEG), I direct a team of global analysts providing best-in-class data & insights across a range of markets including offshore O&G field development, subsea services, offshore marine and offshore wind & new energy. I am also responsible for the design, development, and delivery of numerous online market intelligence platforms with a subscription base of over 100 clients including many of the world's largest energy producers & contractors. I have been primarily based in Singapore since 2011, when I left London (via Aberdeen) to establish Douglas-Westwood’s Asian offices and have held the position of “Head of Asia-Pacific” since 2016 and the subsequent transition to WGEG. In this role I provide regional leadership for the group’s research, business development and daily operations. Previously, I headed up Douglas-Westwood’s global Consulting practice providing commercial/strategic services for corporates in the energy supply chain and transaction support mandates for the global financial community. I continue to provide leadership for WGEG’s APAC consulting business and to date have acted as principle commercial advisor to over $15 billion USD of investment into the global energy sector across South-East Asia, China, Europe, the Middle-East, North America, Russia & Africa. An enthusiastic student of macro-economics and the fundamentals of the energy industry. No matter my job title and responsibilities I remain an analyst at heart. I actively provide written thought-leadership on key oil market trends as well as regular contributions to major TV networks such as CNBC and Channel News Asia. I am also a frequent keynote speaker and panel moderator at industry conferences across the globe. I believe in people and aspire to the role of a leader over a manager. I believe in the big picture but understand the importance of a solid foundation before a leap. I believe in the value of differences but have learned that common ground is the key to unlocking them.
