Starting my working live as a skilled worker means for me putting my Engineering career on a solid basis. After reaching my engineering degree (Dipl. Ing. FH) for energy and power plant technology I worked for Energieagentur Sachsen Anhalt defining the energy strategy for a municipal energy supply in the town of Aschersleben.After entering Siemens I worked as a commissioning engineer for steam turbine generators that thought me how all the systems in a power plant work together and to work with people from other countries.In the tendering department for steam turbine generators I experienced all the theoretical technical background that has to be clarified before a power plant is built as well as all the commercial hurdles that have to be overcome.After winning the project Lünen I got the chance to take the lead as project manager for the steam turbine generator set of this 800MW coal fired power plant. The next step was to enter the product line marketing as marketing manager for utility steam turbine generators. Based on the world market few it was my job to define the development targets for steam turbine generators. Further on internal trainings for sales and tendering were conducted. After all I became Package Frame Owner for large utility steam turbine generators mainly used for coal an nuclear power plants. Here I was responsible for the competitiveness of the products. The marketing activities included presentations at international trade fairs and publication it technical magazines.The actual position as Senior Key Expert for Product- and Portfolio Management covers the alignment with external partners for the interfaces of our scope of supply.
