About Thomas Adam

Most people know someone who has been through a traumatic assault - sadly. My personal story includes that trauma - one night out with my wife, I was assault by someone shaking my hand. An act of friendly reassurance turned into a violet assault.I spent the next 18 months soul searching. You see, I had practiced martial arts in the past, but nothing had prepared me to be assaulted in that way, I was reeling. In 2005 I returned to Martial Arts and regained my passion. Over the past 15 years, particularly the last 10 in Canberra, I have grown my club into a place of empowerment. Each week, my team and I have the pleasure of sharing our passion with our community of grounded men, amazing women and awesome kids. We focus on growing self-confidence, self-esteem and empowerment through each and every one of them.I suppose I've been lucky, over the years I've worked in a variety of roles and professions and it has given me the capability to tackle any challenge. I managed to pull someone else's business through the GFC using Design Thinking strategies - since then I've gone on to attain my Masters focusing on just that, finishing my studies a month before Covid-19 hit. I used those skills to pull my business through the worst of it, here's looking to a successful return.
