About Thomas Ayres

I am an Industrial and Organizational (I-O) Psychologist. I bring the science and understanding of employee psychology to aid organizations in selecting, developing, and motivating their most important resource, people. Another aspect to this work identity is training and developing other I-O psychologists through graduate education as a professor. Finally, as an I-O psychologist I am compulsively curious about understanding employee experiences in the workplace. My research passion is occupational health and well-being, particularly work stress recovery. My other research interests include issues related to organizational and social justice in the workplace, the interaction among members within a households and associated work outcomes, and the intersection of work, technology, and leisure.
