About Thomas Bailey

Joined McBains in February 2024 as Assistant Project Manager to work on several exciting projects to expand upon my construction knowledge and management skills. I have gained a large amount of construction project management experience during my four years at Lexica, predominantly working in the health sector. In 2022 I led on a programme surveying all 45 operating theatres at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Trust (GSTT) to confirm HTM compliancy and supported the GMP Expansion Project through RIBA stages 1 to 4. This required consistent communication with Trust stakeholders, a deep understanding of the engineering requirements of theatres and controlled management of a complex programme of works. In 2020 I assisted in the practical completion of the MRI Replacement Project at Evelina which successfully installed a new MRI scanner one week ahead of deadline and under budget. I graduated in Economics from The University of Kent in July 2018. I have a passion for project management having delivered a substantial Continuous Improvement Project whilst on an Industrial Placement year at Samworth Brothers. As part of my continued professional development I have recently obtained a PRINCE2 project management qualification. During my Industrial Placement I gained additional experience in supply chain management in the food production industry. I have gained customer experience in the hospitality industry in number of high-profile venues in the South West. My aspiration is to have a career managing multiple welfare improvement projects.
