Resumes list skills and jobs, but people is what life is about, the people we are and the people we meet. Life is a great adventure. My journey has not been a typical one, but it's been a great one. After a couple years in architecture school, wanderlust got the best of me, and led me to a mile Appalachian Trail hike, opening my eyes to hard work and self sufficiency. Friends I made on the trail I still have. Some of us worked that winter at Sugarloaf USA in Maine as ski bums. This all lead, through a new friend, to a job at a TV station (ABC, NBC and CBS) in northern Maine and then on to California, and work with THE camera crane and dolly supplier to Hollywood. I've walked on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise! After that a cross country motorcycle trip took me from LA to the Canadian Rockies to Mississippi where I helped a friend get a software startup off the ground. After a time there, it was time to head home and settle down, be near family and build a life. In Rochester, I loved working with the developmentally disabled in the human services field, where I met my bride. Next was over 20 years in the printing industry. I've had the honor to work with some amazingly talented and wonderful people in the Rochester printing family. I'm grateful for their kindness and assistance. My wife and I raised 2 great kids, who are now grown and out of the house. In 2012 we bought an old farmhouse on 7 acres by Lake Ontario. We enjoy restoring it and the antiques we find, and looking at the lake. Since we live in such a beautiful area, we recently got into the vacation rental business and operate Peace Harbor Cottages, which is 2 vacation rental cottages in Pultneyville and Sodus Point. Stay with us sometime! I'm thankful for all the twists and turns and bumps.
