Background

About Thomas Balle

I have a background as experimental physicist with experience in high- and low power lasers, laser optics, fiber- and integrated optics, particle accelerators, a wide range of technical equipment and hardware communication, mainly in MATLAB and LabView. Adding to this is an extensive student employment at the AMS 14C dating laboratory at the University of Aarhus which has given me further experience in the use of highly sensitive equipment, finding and solving problems that might arise and preliminary data analysis. Through this, I have gained broad experience within experimental physics and a wide background knowledge for further work with laser, accelerator and other technical scientific equipment in other circumstances. This includes work where systematic and goal oriented experimental work before subsequent analysis and further planning is an important element. In addition, I am a certified project manager and have more than three years of teaching experience in physics and mathematics through which I have gained experience in communicating advanced physics and mathematics in a more easily understandable way.
