About Thomas Bayer

As the Senior Principal for HOK’s Texas practice, Tom oversees the detailed development and documentation for all of the practices projects. Over the course of more than 30 years of professional experience he has developed extensive experience working on high-rise commercial/mixed use towers, sport venues, health science projects, aviation facilities and rail transit and transit-oriented development projects. Tom has spent a good deal of his professional career focusing on mentorship of young professionals preparing for licensure and professional practice. He has taught as an adjunct professor at Texas Tech University teaching courses on exterior enclosure design and advanced construction technology and has served as a mentor and board member in the Houston ACE Mentor program. “I feel that I personally get as much out of mentoring young and aspiring professionals as I contribute. mentoring reminds me of everything I enjoy about my profession and the AEC industry”
