About Thomas Bogart

Thomas Bogart is a native of Tucson, AZ. His educational background is varied. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Geography and a Minor in Latin and North American Studies in 2009. During his undergraduate career Thomas participated in an independent research expedition in the Yukon Territory, Canada. Affiliated with the University of Utah's National Outdoor Leadership School, this experience enabled him to conduct environmental research in some of the most remote regions of the Canadian state, including: boreal forest, arctic tundra, glacial systems, as well as river systems. In 2010, he went on to become EMT certified from courses offered at Pima Community College. From there, Thomas completed a Master of Public Administration program at the University of Arizona's School of Government and Public Policy. During Thomas' graduate career he participated in a second international research expedition. This expedition took him to the Brazilian Amazon River Basin where he facilitated communication between remote indigenous populations and government entities. His professional career is also relatively varied. He has worked for the University of Arizona since 2006, and has amassed numerous titles and experiences. He started out as a Student Worker, moving on to become an Office Assistant, Survey Interviewer, Instructional Specialist, and an Instructional Specialist Senior. He currently holds two positions as a Coordinator, Curriculum Development and Instruction as well as a Coordinator, Communications and Technology.
