About Thomas Bohn

I'm a software tester and fan of start-ups and foreign languages, but I have a bit of an unusual background. After studying Japanese in college, I taught English in Hokkaido, Japan as both as an ALT and as a tutor/cafe host. I had an amazing experience, but after two years, I didn't see good long-term prospects. I went searching for a different industry that would also allow me to live and work anywhere in the world but have more mobility in my career path. I returned to the USA and attended the C# track at The Software Guild. That was one of the best decisions I've ever made! I've discovered my niche as a QA and I've been working on manual, API, and UI tests. I'm currently attending grad school at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I'm working to specialize at the intersection of cybersecurity, data and software quality assurance.
