About Thomas Boniface

Although US-born, I started my career working in London and have focused on providing global indirect tax services (including VAT, GST, Consumption tax) to US-headquartered clients. As the leader of PwC's VAT practice in the US, my team and I provide a full complement of global indirect services ranging from complex advisory services in the areas of deals (mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, stock and asset deals) and value chain / supply chain transformation to automation of VAT determination and compliance. With the rapid expansion of e-Invoicing and real-time reporting obligations, US companies are taking a more proactive approach to formalizing their global indirect tax strategy and using benchmarking to implement best practices. In my role as PwC's Americas Indirect Tax leader, I have the opportunity to coordinate our service delivery and indirect tax strategy across the region, work with our local country teams and share valuable PwC insights that affect the operations of our clients. The ongoing evolution of electronically supplied services rules, Brazilian tax reform and many other hot topics provides a great opportunity to connect with our clients regularly.
