About Thomas Bourne

I am a Daniel Webster College (DWC) graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management. In the aviation management degree three tracks are offered, airline management, corporate management, and airport management. I perused the airport management track looking to learning many aspects of airport operations. During my time at DWC I worked at Handicappedpets.com in assemblies and quality control specializing in the assembly of various products in the United States and China. I made two trips to an assembly factory in Ningbo, China to improve the assembly process and quality of manufactured product. After Graduating from DWC, I began to work for Port City Air as a line service specialist at Portsmouth International Airport at Pease (PSM). At Port City Air, I gained experience with the airport environment, towing, and servicing a large variety of aircraft, and customer service. After a year and a half with Port City Air I applied for and was accepted into a part time internship program with the airport management at PSM, Pease Development Authority. In the internship, I gained experience in FAR part 139, FAR part 77, TSR 1542, and various FAA Advisory Circulars. After about half a year in the internship program a full-time position became available that I applied for and was accepted. With my time at PSM I gained experience in NOTAMs, snow operations, airfield construction, airfield markings and signs, airline operations, airport certification manual, airport emergency plan, airport security plan, and the wildlife hazard management plan. In 2014, I took part in the annual Part 139 FAA airport certification inspection, specifically the airfield lighting inspection. In January 2016, I've been tasked with editing and maintaining the Wildlife Hazard Management Plan. In early 2017 I was tasked to take on the planning of Seacoast Response 2017, the FAA mandated full scale emergency exercise as required under FAR Part 139.325, Airport Emergency Plan.
