Experienced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with a history of sustained superior leadership in diverse healthcare organizations. Balanced operating a civilian practice, hospital and institutional duties while holding multiple senior leadership positions in the Navy Reserves. A graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry (DMD) and the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine (MD), he is skilled in full scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Medical and Dental Education, Quality Assurance and Process Improvement, Infection Control and Patient Safety. During high tempo periods of operation, he has operated afloat and ashore with the US Navy. He has effectively served as the commanding officer of a 700+ member medical command supporting the largest geographic area in the Navy. He has severed as the senior medical department reserve officer on multiple flag staffs supporting operations around the world. He was recently retired from the Navy reserves after 34 years of service. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
