About Thomas Brown

I am the founder and CEO of Media Barker, where I leverage my 30+ years of experience helping businesses and non-profits use the power of the internet to grow. It’s my passion to help people, and I love doing it.I specialize in developing and implementing customized Digital Marketing strategies. This includes; Email Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Paid Advertising, Texting, and Website Optimization including Blogging. Then we have fun integrating all this with their Traditional Advertising (newsletters, radio, TV, newspapers, and anything else they use to promote their organization, business, products, or services). I help them cut through the clutter and actually engage with their client(s), prospect(s), volunteer(s), donor(s), or customer(s) to increase their results. Most important, I help them measure their results. Most small businesses and non-profits are not measuring their marketing and advertising activities. As a professional speaker and trainer, I travel to share my experiences and expertise in a wide variety of topics. I have presented to companies and conferences of all sizes about Social Media, Email Marketing, Selling, Leadership, and other aspects of the Internet in general. I also offer training webinars & seminars on best practices of various online marketing techniques across the Upstate New York and Northern Pennsylvania area.Currently, I am very active in the Elmira Rotary Club. I am a Past President and currently the Rotary District 7120 Public Image Director. In addition to my professional accomplishments, I have been married to my wife, Shawnie for 20+ years and have two beautiful girls, 19 & 16. I am also an Eagle Scout, a Martial Arts Karate and Self-Defense instructor, and I volunteer for my church and other organizations in the Corning and Elmira communities. I like to say, “These days, if you’re not online, you don’t exist. Pure and Simple. And if you are online and don’t know it, that is even worse.”
