About Thomas Carpino

Currently I have found a home at Lazarus AI bringing AI solutions to our county’s warfighters. As a Defense Program Manager I have the honor of working with DoD to integrate AI into different aspects of military organizations. I closed my professional military career in the beginning of 2025 after 24 years of service. I was blessed to stand on the shoulders of giants in the best career field in the US Air Force. As a Security Forces member (Defender) I was blessed to serve in a variety of professional areas under the defense umbrella-Physical, Personnel, asset and installation protection -law enforcement, investigations, and confinement -firearms and less-lethal weapons instruction Additionally, a large portion of my career was also spent in academia, from ground combat instruction to course management and instructional service design. I had the opportunity to build and develop curriculum for the US Air Forces regional deployment centers that serviced the entire USAF enterprise. Unique to my career, I was blessed to have the opportunity to serve as a Protective Service Agent. I led personnel security teams for DV/VIPs across the Middle East and Continental United States. Extensive experience in vulnerability and threat assessments. I have led and managed threat assessment teams across the globe from military installations to civilian hotels and hospitals. I earned a Master degree in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelors in Adult Education. My time as a ground combat instructor led me to attain a Master Instructor certification through the U.S. Air Force. My military career took my family and I to many places and through many adventures. Through my journey I have led organizations of all sizes, from small dynamic teams to coalition joint defense forces. I am truly honored to have served with some of the most amazing humans
