About Thomas Casella

Thomas is a an experienced registered nurse with a background in adult critical care nursing, interventional radiology, and nursing education. Coworkers and patient experience surveys have described Thomas as a compassionate and safe practitioner, always willing to put others above himself to provide competent and quality care. He is always searching for new and innovative strategies to improve patient outcomes utilizing evidence-based research in his own practice. Thomas received his associate in science in nursing (ASN) from Seminole State College of Florida where he was a part of the national student nurse association and volunteered over 30 hours to the Central Florida community. Thomas then received his bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) from the University of Central Florida where he was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society. Thomas is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in nursing (DNP), specializing as an adult gerontological acute care nurse practitioner (AGACNP). Thomas has certifications in adult basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), and pediatric life support (PALS). He has also received certification from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses as a Critical Care Certified Nurse (CCRN) and from the American Association of Moderate Sedation Nurses as a Certified Sedation Registered Nurse (CSRN).
