About Thomas Collery

I am currently a registered nurse and am looking to shift my career into the broader healthcare industry. I believe I can be a great asset in the healthcare consulting practice with the knowledge and skills that I have accumulated. Collectively, I have twelve years of experience in the healthcare field, ten of which have been as a registered nurse working in various settings such as acute, critical home, and outpatient care (both leadership and non-leadership roles). I am regularly exposed to and use a wide range of medical devices (e.g, dialysis machines, life vests, invasive and non-invasive thermal control devices, and automatic external defibrillators (AEDs)). I am particularly knowledgeable about health laws, rules, and regulations and I have spent the last three years as a travel nurse. This involved frequently moving to different hospitals and/or states, often with short notice, and rapidly completing training at each facility. My colleagues, patients, and their families have often expressed immense satisfaction with the care I have delivered. My strengths include, but are not limited to the following: Efficiency in working and partnering with colleagues, clients, and patients; Ability to remain calm and pragmatic in high-pressure situations; Expert communication and public speaking skills; Bilingual (Limited Working Spanish); Ability to quickly adapt and learn to accomplish tasks and/or needs; Continuous refinement of the work environment using solution-oriented methods with a strong focus on self-improvement.
