About Thomas Corcoran

I am currently employed by Insight Global working as a Software Configuration Management engineer at Tapestry Solutions in St. Louis, MO. In this role, I have transformed a tedious error-prone build and release process into a highly automated, error-free process. I addition, I have automated a number of developer activities to increase their productivity. I have a passion for automating processes, with the immediate satisfaction of seeing dramatic improvements in productivity. My previous experience includes more than thirty years at the Boeing Company in a broad range of software engineering roles. My experience includes real time embedded software development with rigorous software processes, safety critical, redundant systems, configuration/change management, and process automation via scripting. I have strong collaboration skills and work very well with others. In July of 2017, I completed a course offered by the non-profit Launchcode to get introduced to the programming languages Python and C#. I also was introduced to Web Development. The course confirmed my confidence in easily picking up new languages and tools. I have dual citizenship in the United States and Ireland.
