About Thomas Currie

I am a father of three young kids and currently an Administrator at the Senior Campus of Calgary Christian School. If you measured, I would fall squarely on the line between "innovator" and "early adopter" on Roger’s Diffusion Curve. In other words, I have worked as a Professional Geologist, Actor, Author, Web Designer, and Artist and incorporated these experiences into the education of people. My passion for innovative educational design has given me the opportunity to direct a traditional theatrical production with online students who could not meet face to face until the day of the production. I have facilitated the construction of an iron forge and aluminum foundry in the middle of a school library, built an augmented reality sandbox, and routinely host workshops on Learning Design for pre-service teachers from local Universities in my 'classroom'.
