About Thomas Dalsin

I'm a seasoned and capable technical specialist with experience in the medical, investment, and hospitality industries. Primarily, I'm driven to improve business process, through better technology, practices and automation. Modern methodologies like Continuous Integration / Continuous Development are the way forward, and I'm doing my part to reach that goal. The bulk of my experience has been spent on automating workflows, with an emphasis on service delivery (support) and quality assurance (testing). Despite my technical focus, my passion often draws leadership roles my way. The teams I've led are small (under 10 people) and this suits me fine, but I'm willing to take on any role. I seem to have a gift for business analysis, training, and documentation as well. Like most consultants with a computer science background, I entered the working world with dreams of being a game developer. From this, my interest in artificial intelligence and optimization has proven to be a valuable asset. I still love to write code (hence my habit of automating repetitive tasks), but have since become enthralled by the world of projects and professional services. Assessing risk, chasing down stakeholders to gather requirements, writing test plans, chairing meetings, estimating effort and cost, training technical staff. these are the things I've happily immersed myself in. The fact is, I'm a consultant; everything interests me, and there's so very much to learn and do.
