About Thomas Danko

Thomas Danko's journey in the industry is a testament to dedication and expertise. Graduating from The University of Akron in 2004 with a double major in Sales and Marketing Management, his career began at Matrix Essentials (formerly Bristol Myers Squibb, now L’Oreal) as a Quality Assurance Technician in Solon, OH. In 1993, Thomas joined The Lubrizol Corporation in Painesville, OH as a Laboratory Technician. His rapid progression saw him achieving B grade within two years and, in 1995, he transitioned to the Lubrizol Headquarters in Wickliffe, OH. By 1998, he was promoted to Research & Development on the Purinox® Team and subsequently took on the role of QA Group Lead in 2001. While completing his academic pursuits, Thomas took on an additional part-time role of Assistant Project Manager within the Viscosity Modifier’s Group. Post-acquisition of Noveon in 2006, he became an Inside Sales Representative for the Performance Coatings Group in Brecksville, OH, even contributing to an HR task committee focused on employee engagement. The year 2009 marked a significant turning point as Thomas accepted the role of Sales Manager for Silmix®OH's Great Lakes Region. His innovative approach to sales calls and documentation led to his promotion in 2013 to Sales Manager for the Elastomers Business Unit in Texas. Under his leadership, revenue more than doubled in the Mid-South and Midwest regions. Thomas's role evolved further when he was selected for a special team within the Elastomers Business Unit (SEI), managing territories west of the Mississippi River. He thrived in building relationships with strategic accounts, showcasing his prowess as a sales strategist. In 2015, he became the Sales Manager at ICM Products, Inc. in Cassopolis, MI, overseeing the Industrial and Personal Care Markets. Following the acquisition by the CHT Group, Thomas was promoted in 2019 to National Sales Manager at CHT, USA, leading the North American Elastomers Sales Team. In 2020, Thomas joined Silicone Plus as Managing Director, providing strategic counsel to the owner and steering the productivity and effectiveness of sales and supply chain groups. His success in this role is underpinned by his commitment to efficiency and strong contract negotiations, culminating in his appointment to the Board of Directors as Secretary.
